Janet Smith

Janet is a compassionate and caring counselor who is deeply committed to creating a warm, safe, and supportive space where individuals feel truly seen, heard, and valued. She believes that every person is created in the image of God and is worthy of dignity, grace, and purpose. Janet’s counseling philosophy is rooted in the hope that, even in seasons of pain, uncertainty, and brokenness, God is near and gently at work bringing restoration, healing, and renewal.

As a Christian counselor, Janet respectfully and sensitively integrates faith into the counseling process when it is meaningful to the client. She takes an integrative, personalized approach to counseling, thoughtfully tailoring each session to the individual's unique needs. Her work is grounded in evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy, and incorporates mindfulness-based practices to support emotional awareness, regulation, and a sense of calm in the present moment.

Janet considers it a privilege to walk alongside her clients as they navigate challenges. Her heart is to help individuals grow in self-understanding, develop practical tools for everyday life, and experience deeper healing—grounded in both trusted clinical practices and the lasting hope found in the transforming love of Jesus Christ.

Her greatest enjoyment is to spend time with family. She also enjoys music, is an avid knitter, and loves to read.
