Wholly Renewed Minds Coordinator (Part-time/Hybrid)

Job Summary: The Wholly Renewed Minds Coordinator plays a pivotal role in promoting and supporting the mental health and well-being of students within an educational setting. Moreover, the Coordinator serves as a resource for mental health support, intervention, and education, working to create a supportive and inclusive school culture. This position involves collaborating with school staff, students, families, and community partners to develop and implement initiatives that address mental health needs and promote a positive school environment. The Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the smooth operation of various activities within a department, team, or organization. This role involves coordinating schedules, resources, and tasks to ensure efficient and effective outcomes.

Qualifications:
-
Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field. (Can be in-progress)
-Licensure or certification as a mental health professional (e.g., Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker). *Might consider pre-licensed professional*
-Experience working in a school or educational setting, preferably in a mental health or counseling role.
-Knowledge of evidence-based practices in mental health intervention and prevention.
-Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
-Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including students, families, and school staff.
-Understanding of trauma-informed approaches and culturally responsive practices.
-Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
-Commitment to promoting a Christ-centered environment and fostering a culture of inclusivity and support for all students.

Responsibilities:
-
Program Development: Develop, implement, and evaluate school-based mental health programs and initiatives to meet the diverse needs of students, faculty, and administration.
-Collaboration: Collaborate with school administrators, counselors, teachers, and support staff to identify mental health concerns and develop strategies for intervention and support.
-Family Engagement: Engage families in discussions about mental health, providing resources, education, and support to promote understanding and involvement in the well-being of their children.
-Community Partnerships: Establish partnerships with schools (private and public); community agencies, healthcare providers, and other organizations to enhance access to resources and services for students and families.
-Training and Education: Provide training and professional development opportunities for school staff on topics related to mental health awareness, trauma-informed practices, and supportive interventions.
-Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze data related to student mental health outcomes, behavior, and academic performance to inform decision-making and program evaluation.
-Crisis Response: Develop and implement protocols for responding to mental health crises within the school setting, including coordinating with external crisis intervention services when necessary.
-Advocacy: Advocate for policies and practices that promote mental health and well-being within the school community, including addressing stigma and promoting a culture of acceptance and support.
-Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of mental health services provided, interventions implemented, and outcomes achieved, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and privacy regulations.
