Kristy Dees
Kristy earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Oral Roberts University and a Master of Science in Education and School Counseling from Buena Vista University. She is a Certified Spiritual Director through Christian Formation and Direction Ministries (CFDM).
Kristy was in full-time ministry for over a decade, with another ten years in social services and counseling. Her time in ministry includes six years as a pastor in California, three years as an overseas missionary with Africa Inland Mission, and several years in youth ministry. Kristy discovered her passion for spiritual direction during a time of personal burnout and grief. “Experiencing God’s love right in the middle of all of my layers of grief, scars, and disappointment gave me the courage to accept His invitation to live more freely from a place of “being”, rather than doing.”
Kristy continues to work part-time as a school counselor and a Mental Health First Aid instructor. She lives in Northwest Arkansas with her family and two snuggly golden doodles. She enjoys all things outside and is currently learning to play pickleball and mountain bike.
Kristy offers spiritual direction services virtually.
